Hours
are inventory
In ad/design business,hours are
your inventory. So accurate timekeeping is imperative. "Losing
track of costs could potentially chip away at our gross margin, "says
Taylor. "Clients & Profits changed all of that. Now we're
far more structured. "Clients & Profits was a catalyst
to realizing a lot of the shop's potential. "There is no longer
confusion over purchase orders and invoices, "Taylor continues. "Clients & Profits
enables us to bill the client for actual hours spent on the
job. It makes all of us more accountable and with accountability
comes responsibility.
Better control over time
We have much better control,
more free time [and] everyone is more organized. Clients & Profits
has really changed our agency and the way we do business. "Taylor
reminds the other employees that by using C&P that the
company will have greater stability. He says they use Clients & Profits
for ten to fifteen estimates per week, as well as for job schedules,
traffic, time-keeping, purchase orders, check-writing, billing,
and all of the agency's financial accounting.
Management had doubts
The only hesitation to the software
came from upper management, Taylor says. "Clients & Profits
Classic eliminated some of the cumbersome tasks. Now management
can input their own purchase orders and time sheets.
They weren't exactly accustomed to having to do that in the beginning. |
Slowly,
they are beginning to see what Clients & Profits Classic
can do for the agency and they are coming to embrace the software
whole heartedly.
"Yes, some of our clients were surprised when we switched over to Clients & Profits
Classic, because of the clarity and detail of purchase orders and nvoices. I've
heard very positive responses, and certainly no negative ones,"Taylor says.
A quick payoff
He likes, too, the response from
the Clients &Profits Helpdesk. "Because of the three hour
time difference between Atlanta and California I sometimes
get Clients & Profits' voice mail in the early morning.
But they get back to us quickly with a response to our question."
"We are more than pleased with
Clients &Profits Classic. We've only been using the software
a short while. We're all still in the learning curve, but it's
begun to pay for itself. It probably will completely pay for
itself in 1999. "In my opinion," Taylor proclaims, "the people

us implement the software was brilliant. "We were up and running
