The evidence is Dailey Marketing Group, a full-service creative boutique that specializes in e-marketing and healthcare communications. Under Susan's direction, the 11-staffer shop blends those two elements to come up with strategic creative that capitalizes on innovative technology. And with more than half of the U.S. population turning to the Internet for health information, Dailey Marketing Group is just what the doctor ordered.

Gearing up for the future

Founded in 1997, Dailey Marketing Group grew like crazy during the advertising boom of the late 1990s. Although busy, the shop never lost focus of its mission: to create outstanding client work. Despite the fact that applying new technology was pivotal to the shop's success, job and financial management languished in the back office with Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel. Nothing was integrated, and important information (like billable hours) slipped into a black hole. "Everything was extremely manual," says Denise Acosta, who joined Dailey Marketing Group in 2001.

Denise, the shop's controller and office manager, had used Clients & Profits at a couple of other agencies before joining Dailey Marketing Group. She immediately set to work, convincing Susan that Clients & Profits was the best way to run the agency. The selling point was the way Clients & Profits handles all of the shop's data, integrating it for easy tracking




and billing of job costs. Dailey Marketing Group switched to Clients & Profits Pro in December 2001. Now, with Clients & Profits, all of the job details are entered into one software, and accurate data is available all the time. "No more entering the same information in two separate software programs," Denise says. "Clients & Profits has got it down."

Whether it's adding a job ticket or media buy, purchase orders or invoice, Clients & Profits is used by every staffer everyday. And getting everyone on board was nearly effortless. "Clients & Profits uses advertising verbiage," Denise says, "so our staffers could figure out how to do things almost intuitively." And because everyone enters daily information throughout the life of a job, Denise always knows how the finances are going.

With staffers keeping jobs up to date in Clients & Profits, Denise knows she can depend on Clients & Profits job cost reports to see exactly where each job stands at any given time. And with financial reports building on job cost data, she also knows that the financials are completely accurate. "It's easy to figure out where we stand for the month," Denise says.
