This page explains how to use Search to find what you are looking for. Search is available at the bottom of every web page.
___Simple Search
___Results
Starting a Search
Type a word or phrase and click the "Search" button or press the Enter key. If you are searching for a phrase, remember that the order of words in the phrase is important.
Example: Media (simple one word search)
Example: Job Tickets (one phrase, no commas needed)
Example: Clients & Profits Update (one phrase, order is important)
Adding search terms
To make your results more specific, use multiple search terms, separated by commas. Each search term may be a single word or a phrase. The commas tell the search engine "Find as many of these terms as possible, in any order."
Example: Media, reports, estimates (three words, any order)
Example: updates, Media Link (a word and a phrase)
Example: Fiscal year, close year, accounting periods (three phrases)
Capital letters
Capitalizing letters in your search will not change your results because searches on the Clients & Profits web site are not case-sensitive. "Accounts Receivable" and "accounts receivable" will return the same search results.
Stemming
The Clients & Profits search engine uses stemming to automatically include related variations of your search term. If you search for "upgrade", you will also find "upgraded", "upgrades", "upgrading" and so on. Every word in a search phrase is stemmed unless quotation marks are used.
And, Or, Not
Use "or" to broaden your search. Use "and" and "not" to narrow your search.
Example: posted or unposted (matches either search term)
Example: Year-End and Accounting (match must include both terms)
Example: Balance Sheet not Out of Balance (match first term, exclude second term)
