Any Interest in the ad hoc Reporting Training?

07:49am Dec 22, 2003 PST (#1 of 11)

We have been interested in attending a C&P Ad Hoc Reporting training, but have been told that the class will not be offered unless there are six paid attendees. We have been waiting for a year for the class to be offered; so now I'm trying asking the group at large--

Anyone else out there interested in taking the ad hoc reporting training? We have two people that we would send...

I've never heard it called "ad hoc reporting training". Are you referring to the classes that C&P offers in their San Diego office? We have also tried to sign up for one of these classes but are always told that it can't happen without enough people making reservations. And, since we are on the east coast, it doesn't make financial sense for us to sign up, make airline and hotel reservations, only to find out that the class is canceled because not enough people signed up.

Let me know what month interested firms may be wanting to send people. We could sign up one to two individuals from our company in Maryland.

BTW, where is Humana, Inc.?

Yes, I'm interested. BTW - I have been told the same thing from C&P.

I would be interested in possibly attending, perhaps bringing a second person once I see the costs and when it is.

I'm a new user of C&P and I plan on attending their training in January. I too would be interested in attending the ad hoc report training if we could schedule it for January 21. (with all the emails that I've seen, I believe that you've got your 6+ people)

I'm still waiting for an answer to the question "what exactly is ad hoc report training"?

Thanks

"Ad hoc" reporting refers to the Custom Reports writer that you'll find in Clients & Profits Pro, Job Tracker, or C&P SQL. The Custom Reports writer allows users to create and print unique reports showing information from any part of your database, such as clients, jobs, costs, billings, etc. Custom reports are saved outside of Clients & Profits, so they can remain confidential, or shared with other users as needed.

Ad hoc reports are also called custom reports. The custom report writer is a feature that is available in Clients & Profits Pro.

For further information about the custom report writer please check out http://www.cnp-x.com/user_guide/my/cr_writer.html and http:// www.clientsandprofits.com/support/FAQs/FAQ_custom_reports.html

Thank you.

You're right, Michele, it looks like there is enough interest out there. We can hold a Custom Reports Workshop on March 17, 2004, if we get enough people. If you'd like to attend on that date, please send me an email and I'll sign you up. The cost for the workshop is $495 per person.

Kay,

The Custom Reports workshop shows technically savvy Clients & Profits users how to create, modify, and use custom reports using the built-in report writer, Crystal Reports, and in Microsoft Excel using ODBC. The workshop's objectives are to show system managers and power users how to analyze their job, cost, and accounting data by moving beyond the standard Clients & Profits reports. The cost includes a workshop notebook with sample codes, tips, and illustrations; example disks containing sample reports.

All of the training classes and workshops are described here:
