Where can I find an accurate report on how much I have billed my client this year? It would be nice if it would also break down by month and quarter. I tried the stats in the client folder, but I don't believe this number includes advance billings. Stat report: If we advance billed $100,000 and applied only $50,000, the stat report would show only $50,000. Job Billings report: Same as above - this report shows $150,000 as a total, it's also only job specific - not client specific. I need a report to show me $100,000 + any other "normal" job billings that are in addition to the advance bill. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

One report you might review is the A/R List - Invoice by Billing Type. Enter the date range and client you are search on. This report will give you listing and totals by type of invoice - Job Billing, Progressive/Final, Estimate, Media, Retainer, etc.

Have you tried: >Snapshots>Profitability>Client Profitability? Or:
Accounting>Accounts Receivable>File>Print A/R Reports?

Funny -- I just asked the help desk this question yesterday. Try Snapshots > Profitability > Client Profitability. The Gross Margin by Client report shows the results of each job and summarizes by client. The Client vs. Client Gross Margin gives one line for each client, sorted by descending billing amount. They don't summarize by period, but you can input to/from dates to limit the reports time frames. Advances appear to be eliminated. Sales tax definitely is, which is the problem with the AR reports.

If you want really accurate that balances to your P&L go under snapshots/income statement/Client P&L analysis
