Client Only Area on the Web Site |

We are in the process of developing a client only area section of our Web site and were wondering if other agencies have client only areas and if so, what information do you provide to your clients there and how do you they use it? One particular feature we are considering is credit card payments/transactions. Do any other agencies have this feature on their sites and are your clients using it?

We have a client extranet which is accessible to view design comps, etc. We don't take many credit card transactions so that would not apply to our studio.

We do currently have a client only, password protected area of our web site. clients are able to do the following:
1) Review creative/production work for approval or to make comments and changes
2) View their current media schedule
3) View their marketing budget, which we update after every billing.
We do not provide them the opportunity to make payments on invoices, and I do not believe this sort of functionality would be very cheap. As more and more agencies establish this sort of functionality for their clients on-line, I think it would be good for C&P to make it easy to export reports and invoices to the web site so clients can view the information.

We provide all our clients with a "client room" on our web site that is private and password protected. We use it for transferring confidential information, proofing pdf's of artwork, uploading files for them to access that are too large to email, all sorts of things. We haven't yet included any financial transactions since all of our client relations are account based.

I'd be curious to know if anyone is using My Clients & Profits for their clients web access or if they are developing their own systems. We have developed a areas where clients can view production work, track tasks, but it is not integrated with Clients & Profits.

Clients & Profits has developed a web server, called My Clients & Profits!, that allows users to access the C&P database using a web browser. With My C&P!, you can set up clients as web-only users, which limits their access to only their own jobs, schedules, traffic, estimates, and invoices. With My C&P!, you won't need to go through the extra step of exporting a report to the web: all the information is already there.
