Holidays and Dependant Health Insurance

09:40am May 25, 2001 PST (#1 of 20)

We are currently evaluating our employee benefits package and wanted to survey the group on the following:

How many paid holidays do you give each year?

Do you cover dependent health insurance? If so at what percentage?

Thanks for your help!

We pay 8 holidays throughout the year. We will occasionally close the office a few hours early on holidays we do not recognize, ie Good Friday, Halloween(traffic home is a bear if we do not) December 31, etc.

We cover dependent insurance premiums at 50%

We give our employees 11 holidays + 2 personal days in addition to their set vacation time.

We do not pay for dependent's health insurance- employees that want coverage for their dependents, are allowable to cover them, and they in return reimburse the company for the expense.

Hope this helps,

Paid Time-Off (no distinction between vacation or sick time) = 15 days per year

Health Benefits = 100% paid for both employee and dependents (in most cases). Dollar amount of premiums is considered in total package of compensation at time of hiring.

Hope this helps!

We allow for 7-10 Holidays per year - depending on when certain holidays fall. For example if Christmas falls on a Tuesday, we may give the staff the Monday off for Christmas Eve. (Depending on work load and of course the mood of our boss)

As far as medical benefits we offer a cafeteria plan where an employee has 4 plans to choose from, one being an HMO, which is of no cost to the employee. Employee vs company contributions generally falls within 20-25% employee 75-80% company. The coverage extends from single/employee to full family coverage.

Hope this helps.

Our benefits package includes approximately 12 paid holidays a year, including the week between Christmas and New Years Day as a paid week off. 7 other days include Memorial Day, Fourth of July (and sometimes the day before or after it falls within 2 days of a weekend), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following Thanksgiving Day. We don't observe Presidents Day or MLK day because we are generous with paid time off which includes 10 days two years, 15 days third/fourth year, and 20 days fifth year. Paid time off includes sick, vacation, personal, whatever they want to do with it.

We do not cover dependent health insurance. But we do over a Cafeteria 125/Flexible spending plan so they can have their dependent premiums deducted pre-tax as well as other medical expenditures.
