knew the moment I viewed the
demo that Clients & Profits Classic was the job tracking
and accounting software we desperately needed a year ago," says
Zach Taylor, Controller at Turner Fernandez Turner, an advertising
agency in Atlanta, Georgia.
This Charleston, South Carolina native had been with Turner Fernandez
Turner only seven months. But it was apparent, almost from the beginning,
that the two accounting programs they'd been using since the agency opened
six years before simply weren't making it. "They were using Manage Your
Own Business and Quick Books," Taylor says. After analyzing the efficiency
of their current software, Taylor began to search for a more sophisticated
program that would capture all of the hidden revenue. Someone suggested
Clients & Profits.
Everything they needed
"Clients & Profits Classic is wonderful," Taylor
states. "It had everything we needed." Once the decision
was made to purchase an 11-user version of Clients & Profits
Classic 3.0, Mark Robillard, the developer and founder of
Clients & Profits Worldwide, suggested they bring on board
a consultant knowledgeable in Clients & Profits and advertising
agency accounting during the implementation process. Zach
chose Donna Lynn Johnson to come in as an independent consultant
to help with the set up.
"Donna Lynn is great, and very knowledgeable about Clients & Profits -- and
she is just next door! She came over

for about a week, taking me
through the implementation process step-by-step. I would then
pass on the information to the other twelve members of our
staff. Because of Donna Lynn's expertise, I believe I could
implement the system by myself if I had to," Taylor chuckles. "Now
we continue to exchange information about agency management
and Clients & Profits. Having her knowledgeable assistance
was a great way to get the software up and running quickly."
Diverse clients, unrealized potential
Turner Fernandez Turner specializes in advertising, strategizing, and
product design for clients such as Nextel, a cellular phone company;
Primrose Schools, a child care development center; and The Pensacola
News and Journal. "The Pensacola News and Journal have really expanded
their market since we've been working with them," Taylor says proudly.
"Before Clients & Profits
we really had a limited view of our real potential. For example,
at the end of the month I would bill from whatever was in the
client's job jacket. There may or may not [have been] a
purchase order; sometimes just invoices. Then, after I'd billed
the client, along would come an invoice for more than what
was billed. It made it hard to go back and rebill the client,
so there were expenses that were being unaccounted for. Talk
about shooting ourselves in the foot," Taylor sighs. "Not only
was it extremely frustrating, but it could have been costly.
